Letter from FRNA President – September 2023

First, I wish to thank all FRNA Board Members and our “silent” volunteers that have continued to make Fox Run a special place to live.  With that, we have two special events coming up to once again connect our community together.

On Wednesday, September 20th at 6:30 PM, we will be holding our semi-annual Community Meeting Forum.  We will hold this at the ATC 15911 Nacogdoches at the Fox Knoll entrance to their Adult Learning Center.  We have a number special guests including our newly elected Councilman (Marc Whyte), the SA Tomorrow Rolling Oaks Area Center Planner (Ana Villereal), who will provide an update from our Fox Run Planning forum in January 2023, our new SAFFE Officer (Lawrence Sanchez), and our host ATC representative (Eric Schneeman) who replaces Cynthia Hamilton as Development Manager for the ATC.  Additional discussion items are provided in the agenda at attached as Page 3 of this Newsletter.  Please join us for this important meeting.

We continue our community time together on Tuesday, October 3rd in the ATC Parking Lot on Fox Knoll at 5:00 PM.  The San Antonio Neighbors Together program replaced the National Night Out (NNO) in 2022.  We will celebrate this neighborhood event by meeting local leaders, law enforcement, and special guests; having entertainment (DJ), a meal, beverages, given-away and door prizes and most important, a time to meet all our great neighbors.

We continue to monitor and keep you informed about developments in our community, including the apartment complexes, the I35 NEX developments, and our SA Tomorrow Rolling Oaks Regional Planning.

Finally, we look at issues within Fox Run looking at oversize vehicle storage, trash containers, and general areas of community concern.  We need your input on areas of community concern to make Fox Run the special community that we are proud of.

Ken Weber, President, FRNA
