Letter from the President: March – April 2022

It’s has been a while since our last Newsletter and we hope to get back in the swing of our previous community efforts.  Our FRNA Board again met on March 13th and will re-energize a number of our previous efforts in our Fox Run Community.  Ongoing efforts to get a traffic signal at Fox Knoll and Nacogdoches, Stop Signs and “Calming Devices” (Speed Bumps) leading back to Fox Run Elementary, and water abatement problems along Fox Creek and Fox Head will resume our priorities with District 10 and the CoSA.  (We do have new information regarding our efforts and city responses later in this Newsletter)

You will find a new calendar in this edition of our Newsletter.  Our next events in May will include a Community Yard Sale on May 7th and a Community Clean-up Day on May 21st.  We are changing our FRNA Board Meeting to quarterly meeting in the 2nd Saturdays of March, June, September and December at 9:00 AM.  These are breakfast meetings at the home of Ken Weber, 16326 Martins Ferry and we invite ALL Fox Run Residents to participate starting at 9:00 AM.  Newsletters will also be distributed quarterly at the end of these same months.

We wish to thank Kathy Short, for her efforts in correcting the traffic flow situation at Fox Run Elementary.  We have had problems with the school traffic flow coming through Fox Run for student pick-up, where they should be using Rocky Creek, as designed by the planners at NEISD.  Kathy was instrumental in correcting the “oversight” of this traffic flow problem.  She will continue to serve the Fox Run Community as a representative to the SA Tomorrow Rolling Oaks Area Region Center Plan (See the are developments later in this Newsletter).  Thanks again Kathy for you dedicated community support!

As always, Voluntary dues for 2022 of $25.00 can be paid now to continue support needed for projects like signage and improvements in our neighborhood and this Newsletter production.  We greatly appreciated this financial support from all residents (home owner and renters alike) in our Fox Run Neighborhood.  Dues can be mailed to or dropped by our Trustee (Jeff Aldridge) at 16503 Martins Ferry, San Antonio, Texas  78247.  Checks for $25.00 (or more if you wish to provide an additional tax-deductible donation) can be made payable to FRNA.

Ken Weber, President, Fox Run Neighborhood Association (FRNA)
